Memorial Day in Montana

We were able to go up to Montana for Memorial Day to get a little R&R and see Mom and Dad. Jeremy has been asking to go up to their house for a long time now, so he was really really excited to be there. We went as far as Dillon on Thursday night and stayed the night. Mom cleaned our teeth and Jeremy didn't do too bad for a first-timer. We also got a few new things. Dad made Jeremy a new pair of moccasins and even beaded this pair! I also found an old belt buckle of Dad's that he let me have. It's so rad!

Only in Montana. ("I Don't Dial 911")
On the way out to the ranch, we met up with an old friend... The Puddle at the front gate! We gave it some gas, caught some momentum, and exploded through the Puddle!!!

Yeah, it was sick. The rest of the weekend was spent really truly relaxing. Jeremy and Dad pretty much were gone all day together digging holes, throwing rocks, riding the tractor or 4wheeler, and having a great time. Amber caught up on episodes from her favorite show, Chopped, and I helped Dad with a few projects like taking the Mattracks off the truck and putting the regular tires back on. We also enjoyed some "Dual Survival" and learned a new song! ("Find a nice rock, put it in your pocket...") And did I mention it snowed every day??? Mostly, it was just good to be home with Mom and Dad and watching Jeremy having so much fun.

Dad's "toys"... Pick your flavor.

We also had a dual birthday party for Jeremy and Dad while we were up there. Those two make quite a pair... especially covered in birthday cake and birthday pie!!!

Again, it was so wonderful to be up there for the weekend. We had a great time visiting the branch as well on Sunday before we came home. I'm so lucky that I could spend my childhood growing up in such an amazing place. It's even better still to be able to share it with Jeremy now too. It's so cool to see him with his Grandpa and Grandma and how much he loves them. Hopefully we can go back up again soon!
