So Much For Blogging...

Tonight was going to be my night to really catch up in my blogging. I'm over a month behind with some of the posts I want to do so I was really looking forward to getting things up to date. Instead, I spent the night with Jeremy. He woke up from his nap just as I was getting to the computer and I never made it back again until now. The thing is, I don't regret the lost time at all. We played with toys, cleaned his room, danced to the "Hot Dog Song" (from Mickey Mouse Club House), took a bath, ate goldfish, talked to Papa and Grandma Susie, tried to fall asleep on the couch, tried to use the Elmo potty (we did get some good stories read, though, and you get points for trying, right?), helped mommy find her camera, caught bugs, watched basketball highlights, talked about why Utes are better than Cougars, looked at the snow, said prayers, talked about Jesus, and just spent TIME together. As I laid down with him in the car bed to try and get him back to sleep for the third time tonight, I couldn't help but be so grateful and happy for a night that didn't go as planned. One of those moments where it hits you: "Holy crap! I'm a DAD... and I love every minute of it!" Even though I'm sure everyone is waiting anxiously for my next amazing blog post (not really), it won't matter in the end if I had a great blog. But it will matter if I was a great dad...
