Softball Game #8

This game was EPIC! We played a pretty good team and it was a dog fight from start to finish. They scored 3 on us in the first, and we only managed one. In the second inning, we held them scoreless as our defense started clicking and we took the lead 7 to 3. Tim and I unleashed our new home run handshake during the rally and it was sick! The crowd loved it. We played really well, but they held their ground and stayed with us within a few runs. We went into the last inning up 13-9, but they gave us their all that last at bat and started scoring runs. Even though they went up by one, I just knew we'd finish the game off. Bottom of the "ninth," I was up first and got a single. The game seemed on the verge of a breaking point with the lady behind me being one of our weak hitters. She hit a slow roller up the middle and I knew they'd try to throw me out at second. I got a good jump off the crack of the bat and slid head first into second and beat the throw! Tim was up next and knocked me in and the game was tied! Our hot bats continued and Colby hit in Tim for the winning run! What a game! Time for the playoffs... Record: 6-2.
