I Hate Cars Right Now

So this post is about 3 weeks in the making... First, I went to have my truck inspected to get my registration renewed and... it didn't pass emissions. Why wouldn't it pass emissions? Because the codes from the truck's computer were showing "Not Ready." So I called around and asked what could be the problem and it seemed to be all located in the battery or cable connection. So I clean the connection, checked the cables, checked the battery and... same thing. I even tried taking it to different places to check the codes and all gave me the same results. Longer story shorter, I decided to send it up to Montana to have John, a family friend, work on it. While it's in Montana, I've been driving Amber's dad's truck. So I'm down one vehicle. Amber's car had been leaking coolant for some time now and we finally decided it was time to have it fixed. We were also informed that we needed to replace the brake pads. Well, Jeff and I decided to try to fix that ourselves. We would have too! That is, if we could get the bolts out to get inside the brakes... So after a couple hours, we decided to drop it off at a mechanic's on the way to meet Tim at the airport in the morning. We decided to take Dad's truck and the car and drop the car off on the way back. Good thing we did because... the car DIED on the off ramp. So we pushed it over to the mechanic's shop, thankfully just around the corner, and hopped in the truck and made it just in time to meet Tim as he got off the plane. Now we are down to ZERO cars of our own. Thankfully, we were leaving the next day anyway for Montana so we got by with just the truck. We get up to Montana and miraculously the truck is ready and codes are ready and we're ready to bring it home after a wonderful weekend. We get home and the car is fixed and every thing's great. So we have both our vehicles back! I took the truck over to pass my emissions and... SAME BLASTED THING! So now I have a truck that I can't legally drive and to top it off... Dad's truck had a flat on Tuesday morning. Sigh... what ever happened to horse and buggy?
